Upcoming Speaking Dates

Rabbi Debra is continuing to offer classes online and in person and is again traveling for scholar-in-residence weekends. Contact us here to bring her to your community.

She offered her first, independent online class, Mazal Tov on Zoom in 2020 - 2021. She has begun offering online and hybrid classes. Please subscribe here, so you will know when the classes will roll out. 

 

Wednesday, March 22, 2023,  12:30 pm - 1 pm Eastern on Zoom - Rabbi Debra will lead the "Daily Sit" for the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. The theme of the teaching and guided meditation will be "Mindsets of Freedom" in honor of the upcoming Hebrew month of Nissan and the upcoming Passover holiday.  There is no fee, but the event does require registration to receive the Zoom link (Click here). All are welcome. 

POSTPONED, New Date TBD - Rabbi Debra will once again lead the (Virtual) Positive Psychology Hour for the Marlene Meyerson JCC and the WholeBeing Institute. In honor of Passover and in light of the JCC's year-long theme of "Books that Influenced Us," the topic of this session will be: "Lessons in Radical Empathy from Two Favorite Books: A Crime So Monstrous: Face-to-Face with Modern-Day Slavery and The Book of Exodus." Thursday, May 18, 2023, 10:00-11:15 pm Eastern, on Zoom - Rabbi Debra will speak for the Valley Outreach Synagogue's Rabbi-in-Residence Lecture Series. Her topic will be "Positively Jewish: Torah Wisdom & Modern Science on Happiness." The event is free, but you must request a Zoom link. Contact wendylev@sbcglobal.net for more information. 

 


Rabbi Debra’s home synagogue, Congregation B’nai Israel in Emerson, NJ is open to visitors for services, adult education, and other programs.
